I had the same problem with my 98 Tahoe. It ended up being the security sensor. The system was recording a security breach and would not start the vehicle. The dealer told me it was reading the chip in the key wrong. You can try and see if this is also your problem. Barrie form Van. B.C.
whats it not doing?? no crank no start or crank no start? thats where you need to start ----cranks good..good spark..good fuel pressure..new battery ..new coil I REPLACED THE COIL, PICK UP, IGNITION MODCULE, NEW PLUGS. WIRES , CAP AND ROTOR. CRANK TRIGERAND FUEL PUMP AND PCM
First you need to give a little more info. Will engine crank or not, is engine getting fuel.
if you meen NO LIGHT in the instrument pannel just check the battery, might be really dead
fuel stop solinoid problem,or air in the lines
my 1993 buick park avenue wont start after i changed the front motor support you can jump it from the sodinoid and it will crank whats wrong could it be the security system
I had this problem, there was a build-up of carbon in the fuel system and the Oxygen regulator. There is a chemical the garage used that cleaned it out and disolved it. The truck runs great now, and have not had that problem since. They said it is supposed to be done every 15,000 miles or so.
NO. You need to REPLACE whats worn out.
Try looking at replacing the crankshaft position sensor, i had a similar problem with my 92 lumina and i traced it back to a bad crank sensor.
If you changed the battery on a Saturn S-Series 201 and the car will crank over, but won't start, the security system needs reset. Do this by inserting the key and turning it halfway. Leave it this way for 10 minutes before trying to start the car.
Check the MAP sensor, possible culprit.
make sure your getting fuel to the injectors make sure your getting spark to your spark plugs and wires or coil overs depending whats on the car
The battery light will come on when the engine fails, not part of the problem. Check out the ignition coil ballast resistor (if iftted). Its bypassed when cranking and in circuit when normal running
