Compression test?
Plugs/wires
New answer; Chevy redesigned the distributor cap, and you can no
longer see cracks and carbin tracts inside the cap where the wires go.
REPLACE CAP WITH FACTORY GM CAP, THIS WILL FIX IT.
Ok this very exact same thing happened to me. I did all you did to fix it and some. Almost sent the truck to the crusher. Even a new computer, compression test etc.. Etc... Good news for you..... It is a faulty or bad ground wire. Problaly motor to frame or body to frame ground wire. It was both on mine. If not those two wires it will surely be an important ground to something gone bad. Start with ignition wires, starter, relays, then fuse block, then inside The dash. I hopes this receives you in time to save you some money. Good luck Chip

Kiitos kaikesta.
Teh service engine light does not mean you need to service the engine. It means that there is a problem. You should have asked the tech that had his hands on the car. Could be a bunch of things from an injector to a spark plug.
Thanks. DJ FLIP Housepartykings.com
You can say "kiitos kaikesta" in Finnish to express thanks for everything.
