I have a 98 dodge caravan 4 cylinder my wife went somewhere the van was running fine when she was leaving the van had lost power it wouldn't go over 30 mph and wouldn't pull a hill at all?

It's possibly a plugged catalytic converter. The will shut an engine down as the engine warms the exhaust system throughly by stopping the exhaust flow. If that's not the case, I would suspect a fuel problem. IE: plugged fuel filter, dirty injectors, etc.
