I have a John buckingham 12ga shotgun made by pieper with the serial 47765 when found the gun had a leather boot with leather fringe on the stock and sewn in sand for a recoil pad where was it made?

John Buckingham was a line of guns made by Henri Pieper of Belgium in the mid 1800s. Break the gun down and look for his mark. a P or pieper or maybee an H. I have a 12ga ss marked John Buckingham on the lockplate and is engraved on all of the metal but none on the stock. Yours may have been made at the Liege gunworks in Belgium.
