This is not a permit fix, but it will let you at least get the CD out that is stuck and let you put a new one in. The biggest problem is it gets stuck, so while the CD player is trying to eject it, give the stereo area a firm tap on the passenger side, not extremely hard, but enough to make it rattle a little. I tend to form my hand in the shape of a fist, and hit it with the outside of my hand (the side with the pinky finger). It will most likely take a few hits, and may take more than one time hitting eject and trying this.
Mine got so bad I took it back to GM and they replaced it for me since it was still under warranty. The new one is better, but still does this occasionally. This would be a more long term fix.

buy new one
who says you can't? I replaced the stereo myself on my 93 ford explorer with an aftermarket stereo with no problem.
MAYBE WAL-MART IF NOT A STEREO INSTALL SHOP
yes any after market stereo will fit as long as you got the adapter antenna and the stereo adapter and a stereo connector wiring adapter
I hate to admit I searched this topic before noticing the "hr" and "mn" buttons on the bottom right of the stereo console (1998 Pontiac grand prix...stereo with equalizer built in). just press the buttons to adjust the time (with the stereo turned off).
i dont know . you gotta figure out how to do it yourself.
It is right above the stereo console.
No. Its 1.5 DIN
Yes, with trimming of bezel they will fit.

If it is not a factory stereo, you will need a GM class2 data bus interface device in order to keep other car devices active.
