- 'Ex' means the relationship is over and therefore you and your ex (the father of your child) no longer have a relationship other than his right to see his own child if he wishes to. Each of you are free to date whomever you want. No, there is nothing wrong with dating your ex's cousin. However, sometimes it is better to move forward in life instead of being tied into the same family fold that your ex is. If you really love his cousin and he loves you then you both will have to decide the risks and the pros of having a relationship together.
