it could be a ganglion cyst. usually its harmless and will normally go away on its own.however you can choose to remove it either by having an operation or by draining the fluid in the cyst.

Ganglions can be sore and quite painful, so its usually best to get rid of it medically. Its best to have it drained becvause it can come back from either the operation or draining but with the operation it could come back and you'd have a lump and a scar.

i had two on my right hand, after one draining one went, and after the second the other one went. good luck!

Q: I have a hard lump just above my wrist on my hand it's sore when pushed and noticible compared to my other hand. Could this be a cancerous growth or am I being paranoid?
