yes this is true, yes you can use a used part but part of what you are paying for is the warrenty, moast shops will only warrenty thear work if the product is new and come with a warrenty
The AX15 has an external slave cylinder and can be changed without removing the trans, it is located on the side of the bellhousing, remove hydraulic line unbolt cylinder ans pull out of trans. If it is the AX% on the 4 cylinder motor, you will need to take the transmission out, it is held on with a clip to the inner most part of the bellhousing, and surrounds the shaft, the hydraulic lines enter on the drivers side and bleed valve exits on the passengers side.
my 2001 ford windstar is still overheating even though i changed out the thermostat. what could it be?
I have a 99 Toyota RAV4 and my ASA certified mechanic told me to change it every 100,000 miles.
If you replaced the head gaskets, thermostat, and the water pump and it is still overheating then I would ask about the fan. If it is not the fan, then I would say that you have at least one bad head, if not two. But that is just a guess. A mechanic will pressure test the system and will be able to tell you more. Is the radiator restricted?
My 2001 Nissan frontier 3.3 v6 engine is overheating. I changed the thermostat but it still overheats.
try doing a block test its possible you might have a blown cylinder head gasket
check or replace thermostat
you go to a mechanic and change*
Mine used to used up at idle. I changed the coolant but it kept doing it. I am pretty sure it was the thermostat. The best internet advice is that it is probably your thermostat. You can roll the dice and change it out youself or go to a good mechanic and he'll tell you for sure what is wrong.
Yes, this is a good idea just in case the water got into the oil. You want to be on the safe side.
If they are hydraulic they need to be pumped in oil first.
Either the water pump impeller is loose on it's shaft, or you have a leaking head gasket.
