Australian Business Numbers (ABN) When you are filing the 1040 federal income tax return for the tax year 2009 the return and any taxes that were due were supposed to postmarked before midnight April 15 2010.
You can still file the tax return before October 15 2010.
The deadline cannot be extended by any request forms. However, even though there is a date for which forms are to be mailed to recipients, there is no penalty for missing it by a reasonable time. If you are continuously doing this you can have a problem but a short time is not really an issue except with your recipient.
Sure you can. There are no restrictions that expect you to use a different number for your savings and your checking account. You can use the same number that you can easily remember for both the accounts and nobody can stop you from doing so.
A tax identification is the same thing as a social security number just for a different purpose. Tax Identification numbers are for businesses, trusts, etc. while SS# are for individuals. To apply for a Tax ID number you must supply your social security number though so they know who is doing this.

The number doing the dividing in a division problem
You don't. The least painful way is to stop reacting and start doing. Set a deadline (like before spring break or Easter) and get cracking. That way, you can do it well and not be distracted from all the senior parties and events trying to get the project done.
If you're in the middle of doing your taxes and you're worried about meeting the approaching tax deadline, then there's a way to pay your taxes later without incurring a penalty. It's called filing an extension and it allows you to delay sending in your tax returns for up to six months. You'll have to file the extension by the regular deadline, as well as send in an estimated payment, but if for some reason you're not able to complete all the paperwork in time, then filing an extension will give you some breathing space.
