I have dial-up internet and when I go to video game cheat websites my computer gets very slow. Can you tell me what is causing my internet to slow down please?

Compared to modern ADSL or cable connections, a dial-up connection can handle only a limited amount of data per second. When you visit cheat sites, you will see that they usually have large banners, many pictures and colorful animated advertisments. All of these need to be loaded on your screen, which takes a lot of bandwidth.
