If you have a laptop with wireless capabilities, you do not have to change your internet provider or notify anyone at all. All you need to do is purchase a wireless modem/router. If your current modem/router does not have wireless capabilities, you'll need to replace your current modem/router with a wireless one. Once your new modem/router is hooked up (change out the new modem/router with the old one), refer to the manual that comes with your laptop that will walk you through the steps on setting everything up. (it will most likely have you go to your laptop computer and click on "network connections," and there should be a "wizard" that pops up to help you)
