the pressure in the engine will stop it from starting (oh 305's are shite)
try replacing the spark plugs
i had this problem most likely your fuel pump is done and needs to be replaced
do you have spark, is the timing set correctly, do you have injector pulse?
depending on what engine you have, 4.3 v-6 or 305 v-8 or if your lucky the 350......chevy never ran a crank sensor on an engine that old. If it wont start, check spark, if you have spark, check fuel.
make sure its not getting to much fuel and check the timeing/and if the wires are in the right order
Would likely be caused by a lack of fuel, lack of air, or lack of spark.
If the engine is not giving spark or sending any fuel to the cylinders. Then I would seriously suggest checking out the CKP or crank position sensor located on the front of the engine.
Timing Advance not working or fuel sensor messed up.
that sounds like its not getting propper fuel. on an 87.....Probably the carburator.
Two main reasons a car wont start are gas and fire. Is it getting gas to the tbi (carb). Are the plugs getting fire(spark). Track these two down and you will find your problem.
check the fuel regulator. check the fuel regulator. check the fuel regulator.
if you do not have spark you will not have fuel check coil module and ignition pick up coil.
