Unless you live in a country where euthanasia is legal, don't. Really, really don't. Euthanasia, even voluntary euthanasia, is illegal in most countries on the planet and is likely to get you put behind bars if you succeed. If the patient really wants to die, see if you can find a way to fly to one of these countries and book the patient into a specialist center, where they'll be able to do it calmly in a way that's guaranteed to work and not cause the patient any more mental anguish than they've already gone through. While I'm sure you have the patient's best interests at heart, home euthanasia can be unsuccessful and dangerous, and at least this way it's all official - nobody can suggest it wasn't of the patient's own free will.

Does touching cyanide with bare hands kill you?

Cyanide salts are easily dissolved in water, such as moisture found on the hands. It can then be absorbed into the body through the skin causing cyanide poisoning. It is better that you do not touch any cyanide salts, such as sodium or potassium cyanide.

What is the taste of Potassium cyanide?

Potassium cyanide is the inorganic compound with the formula KCN. This colorless crystalline compound, similar in appearance to sugar, is highly soluble in water. The vast majority of KCN is used in gold mining followed by use in organic synthesis, and electroplating. Smaller applications include jewelry for chemical gilding and buffing. Highly toxic, KCN is odorless but due to hydrolysis, solids emit small amounts of hydrogen cyanide, which smells like bitter almonds (not everyone can smell it-the ability thereof is due to a genetic trait.). It is also used by entomologists as a killing agent in collecting jars, as most insects succumb within seconds, minimizing damage of even the most fragile types.
