Yes, you can record/ watch videos with the phone or get streaming shows from MobiTV, or at least that's what I think it's called.
i dont' really think you can, all i know is that you can buy videos or movies from amazon and watch them on the kindle fire, there are some videos from the tv you can buy and watch on the kindle fire,but i don't think you can directly connect it with your tv to watch the shows
