I live in Phoenix but am driving up to Colorado I can't find any windshield washer anti-freeze rated below 32 degrees Some one said just to add isopropyl alcohol - is this Ok and what proprtio?

There is no need to add anything. Commercial windshield washer fluids are typically 30-50% methanol, water, and perhaps a little detergent. Sometimes they contain a wetting agent that helps to minimize mineral deposits. They will not freeze on your windshield or in the reservoir even in Colorado.
