I need an egg launch device that is only 6 inches it cannot use any parachutes or wings and the raw egg has to be taken put in withing 30 seconds. I can't find anything that works. HELP?

My initial thoughts are that the egg needs to be placed into something which will cushion the impact.... so how about a box (about twice the size of an egg) filled with sand or jelly, and fired by means of a catapult - look up a simple 'trebuchet' or slingshot.
Don't expect the egg to land safely - have someone catch it..... to the best of my knowledge that is not against the usual rules..... which only say that the egg must travel a certain distance, and must not break.
