This depends on your latitude, the moon's phase, the moon's position with respect to the Earth and sun and the time of year. Where I live in north London, and at the time I write this (Monday, 22nd July 2013), the moon is very close to full and is about 23 degrees above the horizon.
As only one figure is given, I should think it means for any period, with all possible periods giving the same result. If it was for a day, you would have to have different figures for Monday, Tuesday, etc, otherwise it is just the average for each and every day, and this would be the same as the average for a week. Then you move on to weeks, if each week is the same then it becomes the monthly average, and similarly from months to years. What you are after I think is a graph showing how the average for a day, a week, or a month varies through the year, which would be a valid way of displaying the results, but since only one figure is given it is just the average, for any period you like to imagine.
