Email is just 5 letters. It doesn't need to be abbreviated. If I was forced to abbreviate it I would use EM (although that also means electromagnetic, so you may introduce an ambiguity). EDIT: "Email" is already a shortening of "electronic mail". Why would it need to be shortened again? That said, there is no generally known or accepted abbreviation of the word "email". I suppose that if it matters to you, you can try to get your friends using one you come up with and see where it goes from there.
