I need to pump very old fuel out of the tank on a 1995 GMC Sonoma. I will remove the fuel filter and connect a hose to the line. Can you force the fuel pump on a 1995 Sonoma to run?

You could by-pass the fuel pump relay with a jumper wire. The fuel pump relay is located in back of the glove compartment. There are three relays back there, one for the fuel pump, one for the horn and one for the daytime running lights. Which order they go I don't know, you would have to do the process of elimination to find out.

this is for a 2000 mustang 6 cylinder thank you clamp has forced the filter to form a groove in the hose that prevents it from pulling off, It will come off with some force, but may damage the end of hose making it leak when you connect to new filter. If there is enough hose just cut it off close as you can to the old filter and install new filter in the freash cut hose.
