The story you are referring to is likely "The Fur Throw" by Angela Carter. It is a modern fairy tale that explores themes of transformation and magic realism. The story is known for its imaginative storytelling and unique narrative style.

Where should you keep things labeled as poison?

Poisonous substances such as bleach and other cleansers should be kept in a cupboard with a child safety lock or regular lock. If possible use a high cupboard. More poisonous substances should be kept locked in metal secured cabinent. Storing things in a garage is a bad idea. It is still accessible but the access is unsupervised.
