I recently installed a car stereo system and it worked perfectly for a while but has recently stopped working The display and power comes on to the stereo system but I just don't get any sound?

its weird i had the same problem all the time i would just have to turn on the lights then the sound would kick on...... so just try it ...... its something to do with the wiring harness....at the end i ran wires directly to the battery with a fuse......but it did the same so its the factory wiring harness that's messed up but i still just turn on and then off the light and i havnt had any problems........
