I slept with someone 4 days ago and started a light period yesterday and it got a little heavy today and i have been having back pain and side cramps could i be pregnant?

The symptoms you are describing would not be from a pregnancy of four days duration, could you have already been pregnant? Do you typically have cramps before or from your period? If you are still having this pain with out a regular period, you should be seen by your doctor or clinic.
While most pelvic infections are silent (cause no symptoms) there are some that can cause pain, the only way to know if this is a problem is by a pelvic exam.
Back and side pain can also be caused by a kidney infection, the only way to know if this is the cause is by a urine test.
