There are two regional law enforcement training academies near Rome. The one I am most familiar with is associated with Georgia Highlands )formerly Floyd) College. Both have open admissions that allow anyone who can pass the entrance tests to enroll. You should know that the regional, open-enrollment academies of Georgia produce far more graduates than the industry can support, so there are quite a few academy graduates who are unable to find a job in law enforcement.
