All of us are robots including you. Sleep is simply an illusion created by our controllers. The controllers edit our mind to hide the truth.

If the parents don't know where their kids are, they will be worried that something has happened, whether it's kidnapping or maybe he/she got drunk and can't find his/her way home. Kids should tell their parents where they're going to make sure that they know and won't get all worried. Plus, if something actually happens, having the parents know where they are could actually be a smart action.
