Certified nursing training take about 3 years to achieve. Being a nurse is a difficult job so make sure you have lots of patience like working with people.
If you would like to be only an assistant you will not need to be certified. Typically, to be hired, you will need at least a basic education.
First of all, concentrate on obtaining your business degree, then you can decide which type of claims adjuster you'd like to be. Now find an insurance company that hires claims adjusters. If your state requires certification, many times they will pay for your to become certified. Even if they don't pay for it, you will still need to become certified before you start working on your own.

It depends on the state you wish to become certified in and how dedicated your are to the courses. Full time it looks like in some states you can become an x-ray technician in 18 months, if you go full time. Part time courses could take anywheres up to 4 years.
The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards has a guide on that I found to be very useful. I suggest checking the local universities in the area for financial planning programs and also checking out some of the online programs that are available.
unfortnately you have to become hired from a medical facility/employer related to healthcare or consulting first. If you are selected/or you specifically request it, they then will sponsor you to go to the EPIC Facility in the Midwest to become EPIC certified(which will have to be renewed annually or every 2 years, via internet). The initial courses are 4-8 weeks on a "college-like" campus. The training cost in 2007-08 were well over $10,000-15,000 to become certified. What they are now I don't know. If you know of anyone hiring/sponsoring please have them email an anthony9808 at yahoo I have EPIC experience and love to remain in this field, hope this helps
If you would like to become a home healthcare pro, you would first try to get some education. You could also start volunteering to get some experience.
