we have tested 3 differet fabrics denim wool and pollyester the best result was pollyester wool second and denim last with an adverage temperature drop of 3 degree's every 2 mins when it was wet and dry

Is cotton a better insulator than aluminium foil and tissue paper?

No, cotton is not a better insulator than aluminum foil and tissue paper. Aluminum foil is a good insulator as it reflects heat, while tissue paper acts as a thermal barrier. Cotton, on the other hand, is not as effective of an insulator because it does not have the same reflective or thermal barrier properties.

What is more water resistant polyester cotton or denim?

Polyester cotton tends to be more water-resistant than denim due to its synthetic fibers, which can repel water better than the natural fibers found in denim. Denim is typically made from cotton, which absorbs moisture more easily, making it less water-resistant overall. While both fabrics can be treated for water resistance, polyester cotton generally offers better performance in wet conditions.

Does denim dry faster than cotton?

cotton drys faster

what is a better insulator cotton or plastic?

Cotton is generally a better insulator than plastic because it is a natural fiber that traps air within its fibers, creating pockets of insulation. Plastic, on the other hand, is a poor insulator as it does not retain heat or cold well and can conduct temperature easily.

Which is the best insulator thermocol or air or cotton or aluminium?

Air is the best insulator among the options listed. It has low thermal conductivity, meaning it does not easily transfer heat. Thermocol, cotton, and aluminium are not as effective as insulators compared to air.

Which fabric is a better insulator for water?

Yes fabric can be an insulator. Different types of fabric work better than others though. For example wool works really well as an insulator and is good to wear outdoors in the winter. Cotton is another fairly good fabric insulator.

What will make an ice cube melt slower aluminum foil or cotton?

Aluminum foil will make an ice cube melt slower than cotton. This is because aluminum foil is a better insulator and will help trap cold air around the ice cube, slowing down the melting process. Cotton, on the other hand, is a poor insulator and will not provide as much protection from the surrounding temperature.

The properties of cotton as an insulator?

Yes it is, as I tested this by using cotton to insulate drink cans which had boiling water in them. I recorded the temperatures every 2 minutes (I also tested denim and polyster. I used an uninsulated can as a control) I graphed the results on a graph and found it was a good insulator when it was both wet and dry. I tested it with denim and paper towels and cottonballs were the better insulator.

Is a material with a lower R-value a better insulator than a material with a high R-value?

No. A higher R-value is a better insulator.

Which fabric burns faster cotton or denim?

In most cases, cotton fabric will burn faster than denim. Denim is made of cotton, but has been processed in order to make it more durable, and therefore it burns slower. It is possible to add fire retardant to cotton fabric to inhibit the burn rate, so treated fabric would burn slower, in a different burn pattern.

How can you determine if foam is a better insulator than paper?

yes you can test it under a lamp and see the temp. for the foam and paper and if one has the lowest than that's the better insulator!good luck!

Ice cream is better than cotton candy but that's just my opinion?

Many people will agree that ice cream is better than cotton candy. However, cotton candy is better at fairs.
