If it is a 4 cylinder it is likely that the fuel injector is bad. I had a burnt wire that melted on the engine. It caused the engine to burn way too rich. It showed the code for the O2 sensor because it changed the fuel mixture so rich. I replaced the O2 sensor but that only lasted for a couple of months. I found out that it was the burnt wire that caused the engine to burn rich and giving bogus readings to the computer through the O2 sensor.
