It is recommended to use a cool white fluorescent light when inspecting M8 or M9 paper, as it provides a color temperature of around 4100K, which is suitable for these types of papers. This color temperature helps to reveal watermarks and security features effectively.
Use red light when inspecting M8 or M9 paper at night. Red light will not react with the paper, allowing you to view any color changes accurately without interfering with the chemical reactions that may occur on the paper.
