I'm assuming that you mean if it's just completely dead, and not just turning over but not starting. Could be the solenoid is defective, or it may be that the alternator (I think called the generator in US terminology) is failing to recharge the battery, so the car is always left with a flat battery. Other than that, it can only be a problem with one of the fuses, or a wiring or cable connection in the ignition system or battery terminals.
If the engine IS turning over but not starting, then it could be that the spark plugs need changing, that there is a fault with the plug leads, or that the fault lies in the distributor- either the distributor cap terminals are worn, or the rotor arm is defective. In any of these cases, the component will need changing (although scrubbing spark plug terminals in a suitable solvent using a wire brush can sometimes prolong their life in the very short term). Simpler explanations may be that the engine is flooded, in which case you just need to wait, or that the car is out of fuel!
starter relay replace starter relay I am not sure but you may have to replace the starter
Check the starter relay. Also try to start it in Neutral. Let me know!
it could be that ignition switch or wires to it. wires to the starter.
under the hood on the drivers side in the relay compartment
One reason could be that you have loose connections on your starter and battery or you could have some bad wiring Also have you checked your starter to see if it is any good? If you have an autozone where you live take the starter to autozone and they will test it for free. also could be the solinoide Not sure if I spelled that right anyway it is the thing on your starter that the cable connects to and engages the starter when you turn the key.autozone will tell you if you need the whole starter or just the solinoide.Autozone will not try to sell you something that you don't need that is where I get my parts I would not go anywhere else unless they didn't have the part I need. I hope I helped you
Check the 92 Camaro neutral safety switch next. If the switch is faulty then the starter will not get power to start the engine.
Either you have a poor electrical connection to your starter or the starter solenoid is going out and will not engage the starter gear to the flex plate/fly wheel on your motor.
do the bolts on a 1990 pickup truck go in vertical or horizontal
Yes. Either... or something else.
Weak battery, corroded or loose battery cables, failed starter.
try the neutral safety switch
First guess would be a starter motor Does it turn over?
