Do NOT "Series" Connect Generators

NO, their outputs are NOT summed, AND worse, there will be hazardous conditions created, AND this practice will also damage one or more of the gen sets.

Can you operate a 12volt devise from 2 12 volt batteries hooked inseries?

NO. Absolutely not, you must hook them in parallel. Two 12 volt batteries hooked in series will give you 24 volts with the same A/H of one of the batteries. Hook them in parallel and you will still have 12 volts and double the A/H of one of the batteries.

Why do two 12-volt batteries hooked up measure more than 12 volts?

If two 12-volt batteries are hooked up in series, they should measure about 24 volts. However, if they are hooked up in parallel, the voltage should be about 12 volts (while current increases). The voltage on the batteries is an estimate from the point of being fully charged...same as with dry-cell batteries.

How many watts are in 200 Ah 12 vdc batteries?

Depends on the max allowable discharge rate of the batteries, and what current the load - the consumer that's hooked up to the batteries will draw.

Why do 20 12-volt batteries hooked up measure more than 12 volts?

When 20 12-volt batteries are hooked up in series, the result is 240 volts, measured from the farthest ends. When 20 12-volt batteries are hooked up in parallel, the result is 12 volts (while current increases).

How many amps in four C batteries in series?

C batteries use 1.5 volts. The number of amps depends on what device it is hooked up to. An average for four C batteries would be about 16 amps.

What is parallel car battery wiring?

parallel battery wiring is hooking 2 batteries together in parallel series give you double the volts Clarification: Parallel battery wiring is where two or more batteries are hooked together in parallel (i.e. both/all positive battery terminals are wiredtogether, and both/all negative battery terminals are wired together. This results in a battery voltage which is the same as that of the individual batteries (typically 12V in most cars). The reason for doing this is to boost battery capacity- two identical batteries wired in parallel give twice the electical storage capacity of one battery. No increase in voltage is obtained with parallel wiring. Series wiring is where two or more batteries are hooked together in series (i.e. positive terminal of the first battery is hooked to the negative terminal of the second battery). The resulting voltage is the sum of the individual battery voltages - if two 12V batteries are hooked together, the resulting voltage will be 24V. No increase of storage capacity is obtained with series wiring.

Is a sq 6 volt battery merely filled with AA batteries?

No. 4-AA batteries hooked together is a much smaller package than the 6 volt lantern battery.

Do you need batteries for a GameCube controller?

No, it doesn't take batteries. But i am still trying to figure out how to get it hooked up with the wii. I know for a fact it doesn't take any batteries though.

Do 8 1.5 volt batteries make a 12 volt?

Yes, If they hooked-up in series, not parallel.

How many amps will 8 d batteries generate?

Depends on the load, and on how the cells are hooked up, series or parallell.

Can I replace three 8 volt batteries with two 12 volt deep cycle marine batteries in golf cart.?

it should work as long as the batteries are connected in series + to - what you would need to check is if the charger for the cart charges 24v or 8v if it is 8v you would need to get a 24v charger for it it would be possible to charge the batteries with a 12v charger but it would need to be hooked to each battery separately

If you have two batteries in parallel can you use a one bank charger or do you need a two bank with both hooked to the batteries?

You will want to use just one charger because once you add the other charger you will be giving 24v to a 12v system and that could cause fuse issues.
