A image is a reflection of something or someone. Yes. According to scripture we are all Gods in the book of pslams 82:6.

No, when God created man in His own image The Bible means that man is similar to God in the sense that we have the same characteristics as He does. Such as love, compassion, kindness, anger, sadness, and hospitality. Man is definitely not God and God is definitely not man. When you look in a mirror you see an image of yourself. But is it you? No, it's just a likeness. This is the same thing with God creating man. We are not God, but we are similar to his likeness.

The only man that GOD created in GOD'S image was Adam who was made from the dust of the earth and was the perfection was having in him both the woman and the man, then he divided them and he was no longer perfect. Just as he took light out from the darkness and created the gods of light and darkness. The other man that was created perfect and was the image of the Invisible God was Jesus being perfect light without any darkness.

BY obedience ones faith becomes the power of ones potential that BE (even God)

additional/improved answer:

No. Man is not God. "Made in God's image" doesn't mean that we have God's powers, His love, His understanding, or anything else. It does mean a few things, though. It means we can communicate, we can learn, we can love, among so many other things, but it does NOT mean we are God or we are a god. God is unique, and He is the only God.

Answer:

Not yet. But, it is man's potential... and the reason for his being.

The English word, "God," is misleading as most men use it and perceive it today. We tend to think of God as a "person" instead of a "family," as the original inspired Hebrew word, "ELOHIM," means.

"Elohim" is a "uni-plural" word, like, "family" or "club" or "association." These are single units composed of more than one person, as the Genesis account reveals:

"...Let US make man in OUR image, after OURlikeness..." (Gen.1:26).

The "family" as God designed it, is a single unit led [ideally] by the father... whose rules are to be obeyed and adhered to by his children.

The Bible clearly reveals that Jesus Christ [the WORD or SPOKESMAN of God 'the Father' - John 1] was the "Creating Agent" of the "God Family" [Elohim] who both "spoke the words for, and performed the work for His Father, who is the HEAD OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF ELOHIM, and who has always remained in the background, silent and out of sight.

No man has ever seen the Father. "...the Father Himself, which hath sent Me, hath borne witness of Me. Ye have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His shape." (John 5:37)

It's Jesus who was and is the Creator God of the Old Testament who has always dealt with and spoken with the inspired people and saints of the biblical accounts.

It is He who later became the Firstborn Son of the Living God [the Father], to lead the way for mankind's salvation and their FUTURE BIRTH INTO ELOHIM.

"For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn AMONG MANY BRETHREN." (Rom.8:29)

According to "God the Father's" commands [before God was His Father] Jesus, the WORD, the LORD... made them "male and female." GOD MADE SEX!

And man was given a free hand in the creation of all their generations of children... the "future images of God" [God's future Children] for the duration of his allotted time of rule on the earth, while Christ and His Father worked with the spirits of men that God forms in men... and has been perfecting the "spirits" of men.

These "clay molds" that is mankind, are the nucleus from which the Father has been perfecting some for the immediate task of co-ruling the Kingdom of God when Jesus finally brings it to earth to teach all the nations and races of man God's ways, and completes man's salvation and his birth into the Family of God.

God the Father is "PRO-CREATING HIMSELF" into the FAMILY OF GOD.

"The [Holy] Spirit itself beareth witness WITH OUR SPIRIT, that WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD: and if Children, then Heirs; Heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ..." (Rom.8:16-17).

And at the end of God's plan... mankind will be born into Elohim's Family: "...IT IS DONE... He that overcometh SHALL INHERIT ALL THINGS [the UNIVERSE]; and I will be his God, and HE SHALL BE MY SON." (Rev.21:6-7)

Man is not God... yet. But some have been and are being "called"... begotten again of God. They have been "conceived" by the Father in their "spirit." And the Spirit of Christ is Living in them... their umbilical cord... supplying them with "spiritual nourishment"... feeding them on God's Bread, the Words of the Bible. These as yet, "unborn Children," are growing and developing in God's Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding... until their "Deliverer" comes.

Man shall become "God," however. And when he does... our Father will give His Children "ALL THINGS" [the universe] TO PLAY WITH.

"He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely GIVE US ALL THINGS?" (Rom.8:32)

"God [the Father]... hath in these last days spoken unto us BY HIS SON, whom He hath APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS [the universe], by whom also He made the worlds..." (Heb.1:1-2).

And if Children... then heirs; heirs of God, and JOINT-HEIRS WITH CHRIST!

But, not yet.

Who are made in the image and likeness of god?

We humans are made in God's image. Genesis 1:27 says, "And God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God's image he created him, male and female he created them." Being made in God's image does not mean that we were made to look like him because he is a spirit person, John 4:24 says, " God is a spirit." When he created us in his image it means that he created us with his qualities, and the ability to use them.

Is it Biblical that the World Mission Society church of God believes in God the Mother?

We can understand about God the Mother through the Bible. Let us study through the Bible to discover the existence of our God the Mother. Gen. 1:26-27 『Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness..." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.』 The above verse states that God has two images-a male image and a female image. Until now, we have only known and called upon the male image of God: "Father." Then how should we call upon the female image of God? Logically, we should refer to God's female image as "Mother." This is why God had said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness."
