She may have, but there is no mention of it; most sources say she lived in Bucktown, Maryland, in Dorchester County, on the Eastern Shore. (A few say she lived in Madison, Maryland.) But all sources agree that Dorchester County was where she was born into slavery and spent her childhood. Today, St. Michaels is home to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and there is a historical museum to honor Harriet Tubman in Cambridge (as well as in other cities where she lived or where she came to speak).

She helped many slaves escape in her time. The time of slavery. She helped everyone realize that everyone deserves to be free and treated equally. That is how she has impacted our lives today.
