Harriet Tubman is a runaway slave that is very brave. She was a famous conductor on the Underground Railroad. The U.R are "secret pathways" that help slaves escape to the north. There is much, much more to say about her. She will always be looked up to and honnored.

Slavery was a horrible thing. Many Northern whites didn't believe that though. Harriet Tubman was an escaped slave herself. She knew just how terrible life on a plantation was. Her dream was that no other person would ever have to be a slave. Her dream is still being accomplished today.
