No, you can't. If you have a DS with a GBA slot and a copy of Friends of Mineral Town or More Friends of Mineral Town you can connect the two games by having it inserted into the GBA slot. But you can still not go to the town. Mineral Town characters can visit your town but your character can never visit Mineral Town. No matter what you do.

There is no way to have your friends visit your town via bus. You can however have them come using their town gate. Make sure to receive your friends friend code and town name. Once you have it and hit the heart icon towards the bottom of your screen. Register them and head to the Town Gate of your town. Once there talk to the dog on the right named "Copper" and answer open gate to him. Your friends will then be able to visit you.
