Yes, a brown ceiling fan will look great with white walls. Just avoid a white ceiling fan, or this will wash the room out and make it look stark and boring.

Would this color combination look good in a small room Yellow ceiling brown carpet tan and white stripes on two walls one wall tan and one wall white?

Yes, the tan and white combo would go very well in a small room, the brown carpeting would "pull the room together" but the yellow ceiling could be trouble. If the yellow is a pale yellow and the ceiling very high, it might work. But to be safe, it would be better to use a white ceiling.

How can you cover a leak spot on a white ceiling?

Use a good quality like a product called "Kilz" to seal the area that is stained. It may take two coats, but one usually works. The entire ceiling will then need to be painted so you don't end up with a white spot instead of a brown one. l use a spray can called'stain blocker' sprays on white and can paint over in 2-3 hours if none available I've used oil based undercoat when dry repaint whole ceiling

What colour carpet goes with black furniture and cream and brown sofa?

White or cream would look good, but it's hard to keep clean. It also depends what colour are the walls and the floor. When the room is dark, a cream, light brown or white would be best. When thei're light, a black carpet would make a great contrast.

Should you paint the ceiling and trim the same but darker green color when painting the wall a light natural green?

Traditional decorating thought says you should not paint a ceiling anything but white. Don't listen... but do be aware of what effect you will get. 1) If your walls are a light natural green and you paint the ceiling the same colour it will cause you to perceive the green as a bit darker. The light reflecting from the walls and ceiling will have that effect. Having the ceiling the same colour as the walls can on occasion cause the feeling of being "in a box" as the ceiling will seem a bit closer than if it were white. 2) A white ceiling will cause the room to seem a bit brighter and the ceiling itself will seem a bit higher. 3) A good compromise, if you want colour on your ceiling, is to use a lighter colour of the same green as your walls. I often add white paint to the wall paint to achieve this effect. As for baseboards, window and door casings and other trim, there are three schools of thought here. 1) Paint all trim throughout the entire building one consistent colour. Often white or cream and sometimes natural wood, this gives you continuity throughout and eliminates the need to decide where to change colours as you go through a doorway. 2) Paint the trim the exact colour of the walls, frequently this is a "fast and dirty" fix in apartments etc where the cost of anther paint and the time required to be careful in applying it are factors in the choice. If you choose to use the same colour, please have a semi-gloss paint mixed to match as using "wall" paint on baseboards etc. leaves the areas more susceptible to scratching, chipping and damage. (Wall paint is not usually as hard as trim paint) 3) Paint the trim in another colour. Either a darker version of the wall colour, or a colour you find esthetically pleasing in combination with what you have in the room. In all three cases I can not stress enough the importance of getting the paint mixed in a "trim" paint.

What colors make brown brown?

You mix yellow and medium violet (purple) to get brown. I've heard that you also mix blue, white, red and yellow, but it isn't as quick a process. The yellow shades with the violet, and the violet works as making a shadow to turn the yellow dark.A good experiment to try: Get good lighting in a room with white or soft pastel colored walls, and create a shadow with an item. You see the shadow will reflect the wall darker.Imagine the wall as the yellow, and the item as violet. When the two mix, it puts different shades.
