If I kill myself and still be a christian will I go to heaven?

First we need to understand what the word 'hell' actually means in The Bible.

False religions teach that in 'hell' we are really not dead; but that we are alive and being 'tormented eternally.' But this is not what the Bible word translated 'hell' means.

Such a teaching is all based on the concept that mankind has 'an immortal soul' within him, separate from his physical body. But not so.

The English word 'hell' is translated from the Bible Hebrew word 'She-ol'. Everyone goes to 'sheol' (Hebrew) or 'hell' (English) when they die. Sheol means simply 'the common grave of all mankind'. It is the 'condition of death' not 'life'.

Ezekiel 18:4 states that 'the soul that is sinning - - it itself shall die'. Yes indeed, a 'soul' dies.

Bible scholars have known about this truth for a long time; but the religions have not adopted the new information. They continue to promote concepts which originate with ancient pagan religions, not from the Bible.

Oscar Cullmann, professor of the Theological Faculty of the University of Basel and of Paris' Sorbonne, writes: "If we were to ask an ordinary Christian today . . . what he conceives to be the New Testament teaching concerning the fate of man after death, with few exceptions we should get the answer: 'The immortality of the soul.' Yet this widely accepted idea is one of the greatest misunderstandings of Christianity."-Immortality of the Soul or Resurrection of the Dead (1958), p. 15.

Robert Koch, Catholic professor of Old Testament in Rome, writes: "The soul does not exist as an independent mass in the body, as though in a prison, from which it would be liberated at death. The 'soul' is the man in his totality. Man does not have a soul, he is a soul."-Teologia della redenzione in Genesi 1-11 (1966), p. 69.

Regarding the idea of eternal torment in a fiery hell, the Catholic periodical Commonweal (January 15, 1971, p. 370) notes: "For many people, some philosophers included, hell answers a need of the human imagination-a sort of Santa Claus in reverse. . . . Who among the righteous doesn't like to see the unjust get punished with some equity? And if not in this life, why not in the next? Such a view, however, is not compatible with the New Testament, which invites man to life and to love." As to the doctrine of purgatory, the New Catholic Encyclopedia frankly admits: "The Catholic doctrine on purgatory is based on tradition, not Sacred Scripture."-Vol. 11, p. 1034.

So yes, -- Everyone goes to 'hell' or 'sheol' when they die, whether they kill themselves, or whether they die otherwise.

NOTE: If you are in trouble or despondent, and thinking about suicide; you need to find someone to help you work thru things. Suicide is so very wrong. It hurts too many others, and sets a bad example for the next person with problems. The Bible teaches that 'Life' is 'sacred'. Almighty God has deemed it such. It would be disrespectful to Almighty God to treat his 'gift of life' in the wrong manner.

No! God strictly says to never commit suicide or kill onself. The Lord only mentions that if someone kills you when you stand up for your faith, then you shall go to heaven.
