There isn't a driveshaft to disconnect. That vehicle is a front engine, front wheel drive layout. It uses a transaxle, which combines the transmission and differential into one package. You need to put the front axle on a dolly.
If the front wheels are on the dolly, you're good to go.

disconnect the battery disconnect the two wires at the starter with 15mm socket, a couple of extensions and a ratchet drive , take out 3 bolts and the starter comes out pull it to the right hand side of the vehicle a simple job you do not even have to raise the car off the ground

On my 1990 Voyager, the transmission has a "safe," or "limp" mode. If something is wrong with the trans, it will not shift out of second gear. This is supposedly to allow you to drive to the repair shop at a reduced speed.
