Those are not listed as interference engines. It is always possible given the correct conditions but when they are not listed as interference it's normally pretty rare that it happens. Should be able to just replace the belt and go again on that one.
All mazda b series with a b2000 or b2200 are a NON interference engine. So in short if your timing belt broke it will not damage the engine.
My 1991 b2200 is a non-interference engine. Timing belt broke and I just replaced it. No damage and runs smooth.
No
No, this is not an interference engine.
if i remember correctly the 2001 still has an interference engine.....if your timing belt broke you surely pinged some valves.
Maybe, it depends on if your engine is an interference engine.
if the timing belt is broke, then the car wont start. and u probably bent a bunch of valves.
Noninterference
No-
i have a mazda 1994 626 v6 24 valve car and i think the timing belt just broke where are all the timing marks crank shaft and cams?
Most mfg. suggest to change it at 60k miles. Since your car has over 90k , Isuggest you change it as soon as possible, My 1989 car broke the belt and it bent valves and damaged head and pistons. Changing the belt is not expensive,
no the valvesn will not be damaged this is not a intefearance motor
