Usually that means that the guy fancies you.
You must understand, Guys are Guys, they are not good at emotional stuff so whenever they fall in a situation like crush for eg, they start acting weird with their crush, or just stare at her, or just become a statue if she tries to talk to him. And a crush is a very strong emotion.
And about daydreaming, a person can day dream once/twice not daily and that too not with his eyes on the same person always.
