State police have officially been instructed to adhere to state laws and not favor federal laws. While you may be hassled by some officers that are ignorant to the law, you cannot be arrested for possession of cannabis if you are able to present proper documentation from your doctor. God bless America.
Parole Violaton
what does signing a deferral mean if on parole and got arrested
Non-revocable parole!! What's the point? Just because you are on parole doesn't mean that you are immune from arrest for ANY offenses.
Usually DMV cases and criminal cases aren't mixed together unless its a DUI or a violent offense.
If you are still in valid H1b status and have a valid H1b visa, you do not need Advanced Parole. Otherwise, you do.
Theoretically, parole helps you get your life back on track. What would be the positive outcome of not doing as you should?
Are you using the correct terminology? If you have not been convicted of anything you could not be "on parole." If you're released on bail, you might be in violation of your bail release requirements, but being 'on bail' is not the same as being 'on parole.'
Not enough info was given in the question to fully answer. Were you arrested and charged? Were you given a warning and let go? If you were arrested it will most certainly come to your PO's attention and if this was a serious enough VOP you could have your parole revoked.
There is none. The warrant will not go away until it is served (person arrested).
If you are arrested for being a fugitive, it means you ran from the law. This can happen if you are on parole or probation and fail to report when you are supposed to. It can also happen if the police are looking for you and you knowingly flee from them.
They will be hunted down and arrested. This is considered fleeing from the law and obstruction of justice.
