A cannonball fired horizontally and one dropped from the height of the muzzle

simultaneous with the shot will hit the ground at the same instant, provided

only that the ground under the muzzle and the ground where the shot lands

are at the same elevation, i.e. the shot was not fired off the edge of a cliff or

into the side of a mountain.

To solve this kind of problems, it often helps to separate the movement, or the speed, into vertical and horizontal components. In this case, the vertical component of the speed is the same.

What is the difference between a gun and a cannon?

All cannons are guns, but not all guns are a cannon. A cannon is typically a large diameter firearm, NOT fired from the shoulder or hand, and fires in a direct fire mode (barrel angle less than 45 degrees to the ground. For instance, the .50 caliber machine gun is a gun, but the 20mm cannon has a larger bore diameter, and is not fired from the shoulder. During the first World War, there was a 20mm anti-tank rifle. Despite the size of the bore, it was fired from the shoulder (OUCH!) and is not a cannon. With some artillery peices, those that can only fire in a direct fire mode, they may be designated as guns, to distinguish them from howitzers, which CAN shoot high angle fire.

Is there a video on YouTube where a man fires someone and grounds his child right after that?

Probably not. A man wouldn't ground his child after he fires an employee. That's nothing to do with the child.
