If there is any doubt: Yes. Any blow to the head can be very dangerous. If there is a lump, if they feel dizzy, or nauseous, or light-headed, those are signs and symptoms of a possible concussion. If they throw up, go the the ER immediately.
It also depends on the age of the child as well, the younger they are, the more serious it can be and symptoms can progress very quickly if things start to go wrong.
