If it is constant...Yes, that means they are sick. I agree with the first answer, however most people believe that if the dog has a wet nose it's a sign of a healthy dog. when the dogs nose looks very dry then it is believed to be a sign that the dog is off colour. If unsure it is probably better to get advice from a veterinarian.

∙ 14y agoNo - unless it's persistent and your dog shows signs of illness or distress. Dogs can get a dry nose in the same way humans can have a dry mouth or dry skin. Living in a centrally-heated environment and getting insufficient exercise isn't good for us, so why should it be good for them?
