Yes. All it takes is a small amount of Black-African ancestry to be Black. Black genes are dominant and that is why the saying "1 drop" is common. A person who is 3/4ths White will often still look Black, however someone who is 3/4ths black and 1/4th White will often look 100% African.
Only if the mother is also black. Otherwise, the child will be half black and half something else.(malotto)
It depends...due to DNA...
A green eyed mother and a blue eyed father can have a child with blue eyes.
No they can not. two positives do not make a negative
A black mother will have a child who at the very least will be 50% black.
Black eye color is a recessive trait meaning that for someone to have it both the mother and father would have to pass off the gene for Black eyes. Since the dominant gene always prevails over the recessive and one of the parents had blue eyes, this means that the parent with black eyes had both recessive genes for black eyes and therefor passed on the recessive gene. The other parent with the Blue eyes must have both genes blue and black, but since blue is considered to be dominant over black the blue, they have blue eyes, but passed on the recessive black eye gene. B - Blue Eye Gene (Dominant) b - Black Eye Gene (recessive) Mother - Bb (Blue Eyes) Father - bb (Black Eyes) Child - bb (Black Eyes)
Yes, if the father is Black, though her child would be half Black.
my guess would be that the child would still appear to be racially mixed, but a lighter shade of the "black and white" skin tone.
It depends...due to DNA...
yes it can
no because the black mom could have had the child before she married the white man
My child is 13 and lives in Texas and he wants to live with his father. Can he do this legally?
From birth onwards, the father is just as important as the mother in any child development, it will make a well balanced, contented child.
Only in cases of illegitimate births. Well, the mother can take the child but she can't stop the child from seeing the father. the child deserves to see the father in their life. The father can also take the child back and the parents can share time with the child. Or the child can make his/her own decision to live with the mother or father.
The courts would have to approve this.
If DNA confirms a man is child's father, the father will have a few decisions to make. The father can assume responsibility for the child and work together with the mother for the sake of the child, or the father can sign over his parental right to the mother, and choose to have no further contact with the child.
Ruby Nell Bridges' father was fired because his boss didn't want to be with someone who had a child that was black and that child went to an all white school.
Whoever happens to be completing the form(s) at the time; after the child reaches adulthood, the child decides.
