pOSSSIBLE RELAY PROBLEM
When it does'nt work, put your finger on the horn relay located in the engine compartment fuse box. If you feel or hear a "clic", you're sure that the contact is good in the steering and the fuse is ok. You might have a relay or horn problem. (If the horn has a strange sound when it works, it should probably be replaced.)If you don't hear the "clic", you might have a relay problem or an open cicuit.
If a 2000 Grand Am sometimes has the heater blower working and sometimes it won't, the problem could be with the heater relay switch. The heater relay switch lets the heater blower know when to come on and when to go off. In most vehicles this switch is behind the glove compartment. This part sometimes gets corroded from condensation in this area.
Often this is the connection to the clutch on the compressor.
Follow the Positive cable back til you find a relay the ground for that relay, which is the body of the car, your problem is most likely there if not, get a new starter the selonoid my be starting to go out on it.
switch, relay or blower motor problem as a guess.
The horn on my 2005 kia Rio works sometimes and sometimes it does not what is the problem? Is it the fuse if so which one is it. I don't have an owners manual.
It probably is wiring or relay.
Fan relay is located under the hood. There should be a box some where with fuses and relays in it. Check the fuse and relay. Sometimes tapping the relay works.
It would probably be nice to know what we are working on. I had a similar problem on a 1994 ford escort, and it was actually the relay block where the relay plugs in that was faulty. Hope this helps.
Bypass the relay and if the pump works the relay is bad.
You have to isolate the problem you are facing, if there is no fuel supply you can also have a blocked fuel filter. If you are sure of the problem, you can by-pass the relay and if the pump works then you need to replace the relay. To by-pass the relay you need a short length of 2.5mm cable to connect two (2) terminals. I shall get a diagram to indicate which terminals (in a couple of days. Regards Ehi
