It is correct if it is what you intend to say. If you mean that your friend heard something, and then related it to you, you can say that it was heard by a friend. Your friend heard it. If you mean that YOU heard something, and you heard it because your friend told you, then you heard it from a friend.
He might love you as a friend... But if you are interested in this Guy romantically, I would run for the hills. Unless you too only want to be friends. Hes pretty much saying he is not serious. Have you heard that new song dont know who sings it " Iam only gonna break break your heart.."

I have not heard that one. I have heard "Dead as a Door knob"
Never heard of such a saying.
If a friend of yours is called that, sure. Though I never heard of that name. I only heard of Mackenzie. This answer is kind of variable.
I can tell you, it's not black. Have you heard how loud they are? I am serious and would appreciate a serious answer
Yes! I heard it from my friend Marlee, who heard it from her friend Lacy, who heard it from her brother's cousin's friend who heard it from his aunt who lives in a mental hospital, who also predicted that next year dragons from mars will invade our planet! Watch out!! ...In case you can't tell, that was sarcasm...
k,either he's just beating the hell out of his friend,or he's probably trying to stop his friend from telling YOU "something". but i think he's just beating the crap out of him.
I did my homework yesterday. I heard a loud noise outside.
