If a man and a woman love each other but the woman doesn't love the man the same way he loves her is it really love for her or something else?

This is an extremely hard question to explain because you are not only talking about personalities of each individual, but also the depth in how each individual loves. PERSONALITY is when one person can be sedate, quiet or even shy, and they show their love perhaps by doing nice things for the person, but seldom tell them they love them. They can be protective, strong, "just being there" but no words of "I love you." This does not mean they don't love their partner! Some people just can't seem to express their inner feelings and it could stem from how they were brought up. Some people came from homes where one isn't allowed to express their emotions. Then there could be a partner that tells you they love you every time you turn around, but words are cheap and actions speak! The word "love" can be used in the throws of love-making, but neither partner means it when all is said and done, yet, one of the partners (especially women) will take their partner's word of that one word "love" and run with it. Every so often (it's rare) there are devoted couples whose love never falters and they love each other to the end of time and show it. For most of us we do love our partners, but the fast paced world keeps us hopping and sometimes we are like ships passing in the night. It takes insight and a lot of work to stop and smell the flowers to try and improve on your relationship. We all have to work on our relationships every day. Communication is always the key! It isn't the quantity of time you see your partner, but the quality of time. If you are both very busy, then pick an evening where you can have a romantic dinner and just an evening alone, or do what you both enjoy. Try to get at least a 3 - 4 day holiday in there a few times a year if finances allow. It doesn't have to be an expensive holiday. If you can't afford that, then go on romantic picnics by the ocean, a lake or somewhere in the country. Never be afraid to act young and do silly things together. Once my husband I went to a small island out by our river and we stripped down buck naked and went for a swim, then laid on our blankets (no people around) and just for the fun of it when a helicopter came by we mooned them! It was funny to see the helicopter go a little off balance. Either they were shocked or they thought there were three moons in the sky! We were 55 years old when we did it for a lark and had a blast! It was fun, naughty and we felt like kids again and we didn't hurt anyone with exception of possibly the helicopter pilot needing a barf bag. You may be an extremely passionate and romantic person and not pleased that your partner isn't acting in the same manner, but this certainly doesn't mean they don't love you. It's just that there are two different personalities involved. If you are wondering to the extent of worrying then communicate with your partner and you should feel comfortable and free enough to approach them with this question.
