I would take your dog to puppy classes and get it socialised with as many dogs and people as possible. Start training as soon as possible. You must show yourself as being the dominant or you will have problems later on, that doesn't mean you have to shout or batter your dog. If you start showing your fear, then your dog will pick up on it. Remember a dog likes it's own space also, they don't need to be touched and stroked all of the time.
