At 400X total magnification, we were only able to view one cell at a time, due to the fact that the cells were separated from each other. The organelles that were visible in this type of cell were the nucleus, the cytoplasm and the cell membrane.
The nucleus at the central part of the cheek cell contains DNA. When a drop of methylene blue is introduced, the nucleus is stained, which makes it stand out and be clearly seen under the microscope. Although the entire cell appears light blue in color, the nucleus at the central part of the cell is much darker, which allows it to be identified.

The light microscope allow the scientist to view the bloods in our body.

Robert Hooke was the English scientist that was the first to view dead plant cells. He discovered a honey comb like structure in a cork slice. He only saw cell walls, because this was dead tissue.

A light microscope not powerful enough to view other organelles in the cheek cell since it only relies on light. The electron and scanning probe microscopes would be ideal as they use electrons and electromagnetic fields respectively.

The instrument used is a microscope. This has a number of lens, for instance, you can choose to magnify the cell or whatever it is x4/x10/x40. Hope this helps :)
