Hybrid sports cars can be very fuel and environmentally friendly. While they might to get as many miles to the gallon as other hybrids it is still a better option than an non hybrids sports car.

Hybrid simply means two types of propulsion. For example, the prius uses gasoline and electricity. A car that used coal and hydrogen would also be considered a hybrid. Cars that are propelled only using hydrogen are NOT hybrids.
Hybrids perform better than gas cars. Most hybrids get at least 40 MPG (some get as much as 60 MPG) and are actually no more expensive to repair than a gas car. Seems worth it to me!
The negative environmental impact of an electric car could be minimize by efficient recycling of the auto when scrapped.
The same cars we have today just more technological. More hybrids, motorcycles, cars that get 50-200 mpg.
